This really is a literal pizza pie. A restaurant near to campus when I was in college specialized in what they called a stuffed pizza, and this is really reminiscent of that. I might replace the cream cheese with ricotta, but I'd like to try this with the cream cheese first. I'd delete the olives and add in some chopped pepper and onions. If this is anywhere as good in taste as the stuffed pizza I remember, this will be just fabulous.

When I first read the recipe for this unusual Italian style dish, I thought that the addition of cream cheese was a rather strange taste for pizza. However, I had made a pizza dip before that had cream cheese in it, and it was wonderful! I can't wait to try this! I think I'll swap out the cherry tomatoes for some sauted crimini mushrooms when I make mine!
