  • 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup broccoli, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the egg and lightly beat it.

  3. Pour in the milk and melted butter. Whisk the ingredients.

  4. Add the pasta, broccoli, 1 cup Cheddar cheese, 1 1/2 cup Italian blend cheese, and seasonings. Fold in all of the ingredients.

  5. Place the macaroni mixture into a large casserole dish, and sprinkle 1 cup of Cheddar cheese on top.

  6. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes. Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.
