This delicious and comforting ground beef casserole is perfect for busy weeknights. True to its name, 5 Ingredient Tater Tot Casserole only requires five easy-to-find ingredients. Simply layer the browned ground beef in a casserole dish with frozen tater tots, shredded cheese, and canned cream of mushroom soup. The casserole is then covered with foil and baked. You can then remove the foil for the last minutes of baking to allow the cheese to brown. This tater tot recipe is great because it can be easily doubled to feed a crowd or large family.

What an easy item. I can see how you can whip this up and throw it in the oven so you can get back to your busy plans for the evening. I know I like these recipes so that I can do laundry or help with homework before dinner, so there is one less thing on the to-do list before I can sit down and relax.

The recipe sounds very good, and I'll add it to my list, but calling it perfect for busy weeknights is a stretch. The prep, browning meat and 55 min bake time exceeds the 30-min busy-night timeframe.

When ground chuck is on sale, I usually buy 4 lbs., brown it and divide it into freezer bags. It takes very little time to defrost, in fact, I put it in the refrigerator that morning, by the time I am ready to use it for recipes for the evening it is ready. This saves money also.
