By: LobsterGram.com

Simple seafood recipes like this Lobster Carbonara are wonderful. This recipe is easy to make, but will look elegant when served. The lobster is mixed with onion, garlic, mushrooms, peas, and bacon. All of the flavors go well together. Serve it over linguini for a meal you won't forget. This meal can be made for a special occasion or for a classy meal at home.

Serves4

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked lobster meat, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 pound linguini, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter (margarine or olive oil can be used also)
  • 1 large Vidalia onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (stems removed, chopped)
  • 1 1/3 cup frozen peas
  • 1/3 cup cooked bacon (approx. 7 pieces)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 16 ounces prepared cream or cheese sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter or heat the olive oil, then add the onions and garlic. Cook until tender, about 2 to 3 minutes.

This sounds good, but definitively you can call carbonara. Where is the eggs? Carbonara doesn't call mushrooms neither peas.
