I was just looking over recipes not looking for anything in particular when I saw this link. The title alone intrigued me to take a look at the recipe. I have to say, I have never seen pretzels used in a salad as this one. But salty and sweet is a great mix so I will have to give this a try, just to have something to share if it is good.

This is a new one on me. I know that we are getting more creative in the kitchen and this one hits the top ten for sure to me. Pretzels as a crust for a dessert. I must admit it does sound a little strange but I can try almost anything once.

You could probably double the recipe if you want a bigger batch of this yummy stuff, just as long as your 9 x 13 pan is deep enough. This is one of those oldie - but - a - goodie vintage recipes that never seems to go out of style. I remember eating this as a kid at family get - togethers quite often.

Thank you for addressing the 9 x 13 size. I was wondering that myself because the last time I seen this recipe it was for a pie, but it had the same ingredients. I have looked all over for a similar recipe, but it has been 15 years since I had that pie. Now I can finally get that taste I've been craving out of my head.

Beautiful mouthwatering Strawberry Casserole, however the recipe calls for an 8 x 8 pan and it is pictured in what appears to be an 9 x 13 or slightly smaller. What changes/additions should be made to accommodate the larger pan?

Hi sharonyoung 6911665, The recipe can be made as in a larger pan, it will just be slightly thinner. I hope that helps! Kaitlin, Editor of FaveSouthernRecipes
