Not much can compare to Robert Redford, but this dessert lasagna recipe comes pretty close. The Next Best Thing to Robert Redford is a layered dessert made up of four layers. The foundation of this sweet treat is a buttery cookie crust, followed by an indulgent layer of sweetened cream cheese. On top of that is a layer of vanilla and chocolate pudding. Top it all off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings and you've got heaven in a pan. This dessert is great for parties and is often served at Thanksgiving. It will definitely give you a lot to be thankful for.

This recipe looks incredibly decadent and delicious, and I need to try it immediately! I think the chocolate shavings make it look especially elegant.

This looks incredible! Do you think you can use sugar-free pudding to make it a little lighter and still get the same consistency and flavor? I am diabetic, but cutting back on some of the sugar allows me to count something like this in my diet as long as I use the right serving size.

Hi SissieSass, You can definitely use sugar-free pudding in this recipe. --Kaitlin, AFCAS Editor

This dessert does look AMAZING (next best thing to Redford is pretty high praise, though). Love the buttery cookie crust, especially.
