Peanut butter and jelly blondies, now that is original. I have had my fair share of peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches over the years and I taught both my boys how to serve them up as well. Next family visit, we all may just get a kick out of the favorite sandwich turn dessert.

When I worked as an Elementary school teacher I must admit there were a few lunches that featured peanut butter and jelly in the staring role because it was such an easy lunch to prepare. Since retirement, I can honestly say, that recipe has been retired. However, this sounds like a recipe I could use every now and then if nothing else but for the simplicity.

Although my kids are all teens now, they will still love this fun dessert. I love that you can be versatile with it and make two or three different kinds or add a few types of jelly if you want a mixed berry jelly flavor. I was wondering if you ever tried to use a chocolate flavor like Nutella with this dish to see if it would turn out like Reese Cups?

Hi SissieSass, We've never tried it, but I think any complementary flavor could be used for the swirl portion of this blondie. --Kaitlin, AFCAS Editor
