"If I would have seen this recipe a few years ago, I would have thought pumpkin was a rather odd ingredient for this. However, last year I found an organic pumpkin pasta sauce in the specialty aisle of my grocery store and loved it! Since then I have even seen frozen ravioli with a pumpkin filling. It really is a great squash to use for a casserole when it is not sweetened or spiced with cinnamon!"

"I have made these three times and they are delicious! I have problems with them sticking in the jars, which surprises me, considering that the recipe has butter in it. Next time I think I will spray the jars with no-stick spray for easy release of the yummy biscuits."

"When I think of a cobbler, peaches, blueberries, and even apples come to mind for a good down - home southern dessert. I absolutely love the idea of making a savory version! This one sort of reminds me of a harvest themed chicken pot pie, but without all the fuss of making and rolling out pie dough! The savory flavors of the mushrooms and herbs are great with the sweet butternut squash!"

"Since the meatballs are cooked up in the same skillet as the sauce, it really is important to use the lean ground beef here. Otherwise a lot of grease can end up in the pan and into your cream sauce. I love this method, since all the flavorful fond from the browning meat gets used in the sauce and not left behind on a baking sheet! Such a lovely dish!"

"These lasagna roll ups are great for potlucks since they are much easier (and less messy) to serve than a traditional lasagna - just scoop out each individual portion.
