This is a really clever and good idea. I'd definitely recommend using the flat-bottomed Stand N Stuff taco shells so things don't start collapsing as the tacos are removed. I like annieaz's idea of using refried beans as the bottom layer to make them into a sort of tostada. And a bit of cooking spray applied to the pan or dish is always good. This is a great and novel item to bring to a potluck or party. It's a clever and simple idea and one I'll definitely be using again.

This recipe is bound to be a big hit at my family's parties. Everyone loves tacos, so Mexican food is a frequent theme at our family holiday parties. This would not only feed a lot of people quickly, but would also cut down on the mess if everyone were to come up and make their own. Cooking spray is a must.

Actually very good. A tip would be to spray the pan with cooking spray so the tacos don't stick to the bottom on the pan. But all in all easy and good!

I have made this 3 times..and it is delicious!!! I did substitute the tomatoes for tomato sauce...and I put a layer of refried beans in the bottom of the shell, then cheese, then the meat mixture and topped again with cheese and viola...tostada tacos!!!! soooooo yummy!! this recipe is a keeper!!!
