Chocolate and Coconut Cream Pie Bars

Chocolate and Coconut Cream Pie Bars
This image courtesy of melskitchencafe.com

These Chocolate and Coconut Cream Pie Bars are your favorite pie in dessert bar form. Compared to typical cream pie recipes, this is an easy recipe because you're not actually making a pie. What you are making is a dreamy dessert that's both creamy and fluffy. It has layers of toasted coconut, cream filling, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream, all on a sweet, buttery crust. This heavenly combination of ingredients creates a wonderful dessert that's worth the time you put into making it.

Do you add the coconut immediately after adding the whipped cream layer or do you put the bars in the refrigerator for a while first? I love the idea of chocolate and coconut together. It is such a great combination. I love that you made pie bars instead of the typical cake or cookie bars, it is a nice change.

Hi SissieSass, the coconut can be added right after the whipped cream layer - you don't need to chill it first. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeCasseroleRecipes
