Sweet and Sour Chicken Casserole is great for those times when you want Chinese takeout, but want to save money. This casserole recipe is so easy to make, but you would never guess it once you take a bite. The sauce is a special mixture of French salad dressing, apricot preserves, and onion soup mix. It may sound like an unusual combination, but it adds incredible flavor to the recipe. Pineapple chunks and chopped green bell pepper adds an authentic touch to this Chinese casserole recipe. Enjoy this sweet and sour chicken over rice for a delicious meal.

Any time we have/ order a Chinese take away I always go for the sweet and sour, it is just so tasty. I have never tried to make it myself though and with Christmas fast approaching we are trying to save money so take always are gone for the moment so it would be nice to try recreate a take away myself.
