This recipe sounds divine! I love that you give the directions for vegan if someone wants to use the dish that way. Have you ever tried to use sugar substitute in this dish to make it a little less sweet? I love the use of applesauce because it is often used in diabetic desserts.

These are really good. Served them more as a piece of cake on a plate becuse they were very gooey - I may have not cooked them long enough. I used combination of white, cinnamon & chocolate chips.
