It doesn't get much better than the smell of these Apple Crisp Cheesecake Bars baking in the oven. These caramel apple bars recipe will be a great addition to your fall recipe lineup. To make these dessert bars, a simple crust is made from flour, brown sugar, and melted butter. A cheesecake filling is then made from a combination of cream cheese and eggs. The cheesecake layer is then topped with sliced apples that have been tossed with sugar and cinnamon. A walnut-crumble topping and a drizzle of caramel sauce finishes these irresistible Apple Crisp Cheesecake Bars.

What else do you think I could use to make the crunch instead of the walnuts? We have a severe tree nut allergy, but we can use sunflower and pumpkin seeds and peanuts. I was thinking that maybe honey roasted peanuts would add a bit of crunch and a little more sweetness without being overly sweet.
