I'm glad that this recipe has the pasta cooked separately, as it eliminates what usually happens to mine when cooked in together with the other ingrediants...partially hard pasta because it wasn't underneath the sauce or liquid! This is a great, tasty recipe and I make it with a large salad. Big hit!

This Italian style casserole is so quick to prepare since it uses store bought marinara sauce. I love the creative use of croutons as a topping for this dish, but if you don't have those, I bet Italian seasoned panko crumbs would be good on the top as well. I like that the pasta is cooked separately here, so you don't have to worry about it becoming overcooked.
