Oh my goodness, this sounds like a great recipe to try for St. Patrick's Day instead of Corned Beef and Cabbage. Or one could extend the holiday celebration and make this dish earlier or later in the month. We usually keep our St. Patrick's Day decorations up until we change dcor for Easter-which you know happens at different times each year. Anyway, I really want to make this, except I would have to change out the mushrooms since the hubby doesn't care for them. I was thinking that I could dice up some potatoes and carrots and add them instead. He likes those veggies. A puff pastry top looks beautiful and I love going through the crust into a rich, flavorful sauce with nice chunks of beef and veggies. Mmmmmmm! Can't wait to try this!
