Red velvet cake screams Valentine's Day. Since recipes in a jar are fun and easy, Red Velvet Cake in a Jar is a perfect dessert for this holiday. There are three ingredients and it only take two minutes to cook in the microwave. This is a great dessert recipe because it is lighter than many cake recipes because it's made with an egg white and applesauce. After taking a bite of this quick cake recipe, you'd never guess that it was a healthier version. This red velvet cake is a light and fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day!

Do you beat the egg white before adding it to the cake mix? I love red velvet cake, and this is a great way to make it for one person when you don't want to wait or waste a whole cake. It also keeps you from thinking it is ok to eat the entire cake because no one else is home.
