Cooking Time1 hr

Cooking Vessel Size9 x 13-inch baking dish

  • 24 ounces fresh or frozen fruit of your choice
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 (12-ounce) can seltzer water, in a flavor to complement the fruit you choose

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. Arrange cut up fruit on the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix the dry cake mix with the seltzer water until the batter is smooth. Spread the batter evenly over the fruit.

  4. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the cake tests done in the center. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Pair frozen peaches with lemon soda, or a combination of fresh apples and frozen cherries with orange soda. You can also use fresh berries and a berry-flavored soda. You could also use a different flavor of cake mix, such as lemon cake over blueberries.

Definitely gonna try this one. One hour for baking time seems awful long time.............

Three ingredients? Sign me up! I'm way too lazy to make a real cobbler, so this is perfect :)

Blackberry cobbler is my favorite.

My absolute favorite is peach cobbler! I wish fresh peaches had a longer season so that I could eat it more often. Adding mildly sweetened whipping cream or a good quality vanilla ice cream elevates this recipe to new heights.

Back to the future????!!! Back to the past!!! This brings back so many memories from growing up. Delicious!!

How is this for a word picture (the only kind I can do)? A ignore your dietary restrictions and make this yummy recipe the way it's written and get sick afterward. B find a cake recipe with ingredients you can eat, make up a batch, prepare a bowl-ful of freshly picked fruit, choose some bubbly and make this "easy" recipe. Would wine work for the bubbly?

Great recipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love this recipe

I used a combination of frozen raspberries and strawberries, French vanilla cake mix, and Sprite. I would definitely make this again! My family loved this recipe.

5 stars for easy. Used apple pie filling, spice cake mix and ginger ale. Served it with butter pecan ice cream.

Whoa! A cobbler that tastes this good that only has 3 ingredients? Amazing! I love that you can easily change up the fruit flavors to come up with totally different cobblers each time!

Just found this today making it now this is going to be my favorite quick dessert I used frozen strawberries yellow cake mix and sprite can't wait to try all the other combinations either !! thank you!!
