A Majority of Readers Prefer Main Dish Casseroles, According to Survey

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

April 1, 2013 – Northbrook, IL – In February, AllFreeCasseroleRecipes conducted an annual survey about our web site and newsletter, The Casserole Connection. The survey shed light over what types of casseroles our readers prefer, what types of giveaways they are interested in, and what they like and dislike about our newsletter. We enjoy analyzing the survey results every year because they provide valuable insights into our readers’ preferences.

Ninety-one percent of those surveyed prefer main dish casseroles over any other type of casserole. A majority make a casserole one to two times per week, and a majority call themselves intermediate cooks. Not surprisingly, ground beef and chicken are the two meats people prefer to cook with. Though only 14% of people surveyed say they cook with quinoa, this number was up from last year. Could quinoa make a name for itself in the casserole world in 2014? Perhaps.

When asked which kinds of products are preferred in our weekly giveaways, 78 percent surveyed chose kitchen products (appliances, gadgets), 56% chose cookbooks, 46% chose ingredients, and 28% chose ready-made food products. Keep your eye out for more kitchen appliance, gadget, and cookbook giveaways in 2014!

Thank you to all of those who took the survey. We appreciate your feedback.
