This looks so good! I don't like winter very much, but one of the good things is definitely eating cozy meals like this.

macncheese is great how ever many ways you like it

Yum! I never thought to make Mac and cheese this way. It sounds totally amazing. Mac and Cheese is my daughter's favorite food. This bakes up and looks so perfect. I haven't ever put cayenne pepper in my recipe of Mac and Cheese and look forward to trying it.

This recipe for baked macaroni and cheese is very good indeed. The sour cream and cayenne give it a little bit of tanginess that helps balance out the richness of all that cheese. However, in the actual recipe there is no mention of cottage cheese like this description. I was unsure why they put garlic salt on top, since the cheese and sour cream has a lot of salt in it already, but thinking about it, it makes sense. I always sprinkle a hint of garlic salt on the buttered side of my grilled cheese!

Hi kmcartoonity, thank you for your comment about the mention of cottage cheese. I've updated the description to reflect the ingredients in the recipe. Enjoy! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeCasseroleRecipes

I love macaroni and cheese. It's the very definition of comfort food for me and my wife. We're always looking for new recipes to try and this is definitely going to get a workout. I want to try it as described first, but I probably would add some diced ham, or my favorite condiment, bacon.

Creamy, cheesy goodness! This is definitely worth a cheat day, my whole family loved it. Such a fun twist on MacCheese.
