I like the sound of this recipe. I was wondering if you tried any other cheese types besides cheddar? I am partial to cheddar too, but often I like white cheeses in these dishes. My mom often uses a few cheeses like mozzarella along with parmesan, and of course the cottage cheese. The first recipe she tried called for all cottage cheese, but she found that it was too moist when done, so she switched to a half ricotta, half cottage cheese mix, and it worked perfectly.

Born and raised a beef and potato eater. Had grandparents who were farmers/ranchers. Ate fresh beef and chicken as a kid. Had a superior in the service show me what he would retire to (raising chickens commercially), haven't eaten chicken from a store or restaurant since.

I am definitely a beef man. I like chicken but beef is my first love. I have been making a variation of this recipe for years called Husband's Delight which uses lasagna noodles. Looking forward to trying this recipe.
