Recipes with Crab

For some, crab is a special type of meat only eaten at restaurants. Others love it so much they just have to make it at home from time to time. Whichever category you fall into, we can all agree that crab is a tasty, delicate meat that needs to be savored. If you've never made crab at home before, now's the time. The following recipes with crab are all simple to prepare, so whether you cook with crab all the time or are a beginner, you will be able to handle these recipes. You'll find two different types of crab mac and cheese. One has a rich and creamy base with a crunchy Panko topping, and the other has dumpling-like pasta (gnocchi) thrown in the mix, along with Gruyere and Havarti cheese. Our final recipe is a Crab Couscous Casserole. This dish is filled with flavor, due to fresh herbs and oranges. It makes enough for two, so it's a great recipe for date night. These recipes with crab are some of our best fish and seafood casseroles.

Recipes with Lobster

Lobster is typically viewed as a "fancy" meat that is enjoyed only every so often. So, when you have an upcoming dinner party to prepare for, impress your guests by putting lobster on the menu. Like our other fish and seafood casseroles, our recipes with lobster are delicious and don't require top chef skills. You will have to cook the lobster yourself in most cases, but you'll find it is well worth it. Some of our recipes come from Lobster Gram, a seafood company in Maine that sells fresh live Maine lobster, seafood, and butcher shop quality meats; so you know these recipes are high quality. Others are just as tasty, such as Lobster Pie. This fine dish contains lobster meat that has been coated in a buttery sauce and Parmesan breadcrumbs, making the final result absolutely delicious.

Recipes for Fish Pies

You can't compile a list of fish and seafood casseroles without including fish pies. This dish originated in Britain and but is enjoyed in other parts of the world, too. It is oven baked and has a topping of mashed potatoes, similar to a shepherd's pie. The great thing about these pies is that you can change the fish, change the veggies, and use different sauces, so the flavor combinations are endless. We have a handful of recipes for fish pies that are quite delightful. The Fisherman's White Fish Pie, for example, has a clam chowder flavored base and is filled with salmon and your choice of white fish. For a different taste, try the Parmesan and Dill Fish Pie. It's filled with tilapia, smoked salmon, shrimp, and peas, and has a most delectable sweet potato crust. All of these fish pies have something unique to offer, so try each one.

Recipes with Salmon

Even if you're not a big seafood lover, you may still like salmon from time to time. It doesn't have as much of a "fishy" taste as other seafood does, and some say it even tastes like chicken. Go ahead and give our recipes with salmon a try. Choose either the Penne Salmon Bake or Salmon Corn Casserole. The pasta dish is an excellent way to introduce salmon into a meal. The fish is covered in honey and baked until it becomes flaky. A nutmeg-flavored sauce then coats the salmon and pasta, making the dish creamy but not too heavy. Add some Parmesan cheese and you're good to go. Our other salmon casserole is a good one, too, and couldn't be any easier to make. Just mix the six ingredients and bake. There's no reason anymore why you can't enjoy salmon during the week!
