This recipe needs to come with a warning label: may cause addiction. Crack Dip is an insanely good buffalo chicken dip that can be served anywhere: potlucks, parties, gameday, a Tuesday night. Shredded chicken, hot sauce, and ranch dressing are some of the wonders that go into it. Combine ingredients and bake. It's as simple as that.

We have been making a version of this for a while now.. Buffalo Chicken Dip (Carla's way) Preheat oven 375 Using a tin pan (the cake one) or a 9 x 13 dish (all amounts can be tweeked for more or less according to servings) but this is what I did yesterday 3 cans canned chicken - white meat - drained (12.5 oz) 1/2 cup Franks Hot Sauce 1/2 cup shredded cheese - I used Walmart brand - shredded Monterrey Jack/colby mixture 1/2 cup ranch dressing 2 - 8 oz cream cheese - softened I drained chicken, put in bowl and with a fork chopped it til it was shredded well. Added, hot sauce, ranch, cream cheese and about 2 handfuls of the shredded cheese and mixed well. Spread in pan/baking dish and covered with more shredded cheese...baked 23 minutes or til a light golden brown..Voila Served best with the Town House Crackers by Keebler.

I agree about canned meat BUT, when you are a widow and have to watch your spending, it is important to not make too much of anything. I saute a chicken breast and find that's enough for me. Watch the hot sauce!

I have had this dip, except it was prepared with blue cheese dressing, not ranch. I guess you can do what you want, but it's not really Buffalo style chicken without blue cheese dressing!
